MAGDALÉNA NGUYEN

"Nothing is absolute. Everything changes, everything moves, everything revolves, everything flies and goes away." (Frida Kahlo)

It is almost like there were two of us - Magda and Léna. One cannot live without the other one. Magda who very consciously and happily uses words like soul, heart, Space, purification,  spirit, harmony, humbleness and love and who adores these words fundamentals, and tries to live it, sometimes well, sometimes worse. And Léna? She loves spring,  summer, fall and winter. She loves self rolled cigarettes, smell and taste of coffee. She loves to have a glass of wine in the middle of a day, and anytime when close to a jukebox,  the first song she plays is Hotel California from Eagles.  And all this is Yoga for me. Me,  Magdaléna, connected to myself, connected to others. In asanas, on yoga matts, but mainly in life.

I am grateful for any past, present and future encounters that are enriching. I admire energy and the endless kindness of David Vendetti, silent intensity and inner strength of Todd Skoglund. Both were my teachers (South Boston Yoga) who lead me and helped me finished in summer 2012 my Vinyasa Flow Yoga Teacher Training.

In my lessons i put an emphasis on a personal approach. Movement should make us all happy. Yoga brings to our body a consciousness, deep feelings, stability and lightness at the same time. It brings us back to the fundamentals, which is our simple humanity. My lessons are mix of dynamics and delicacy.  Feeling happy from the movement is more important than the performance. The goal is to feel our body, feel it as an integral part of ourselves. The goal is to be frank to ourselves, respect our own physical limits and use them carefully.
